His tracks mix sentimentality and self-confidence, levity and seduction, with an elegance that a couple of DJs match. Born in the Netherlands in 1990, crack shot DJ and producer San Holo (Sander van Dijck) studied music production and guitar at Codarts University for the Arts in Rotterdam, going on to teach guitar. In 2012 he released his first EP as a DJ, 'Corellia,' which started to turn heads and get him acclaim; 2 years later, he signed to Heroid Recordings and released his 'Universe' EP, landing on iTunes' Leading 100 Electronic page. San Holo actually exploded later that year, when he released a smokin', club-ready remix of Dr. Dre's " The Next Episode," which has scored a cool 175 million views on YouTube. In 2016, his single, the intoxicatingly gripping "Light," which he launched on his own label (bitbird), debuted at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. His romantic, groovy "I Still See Your Face" reached No. 31 on the Signboard Netherlands chart.
San Holo's most popular works
San
Holo's remixes have actually gathered impressive attention. Beyond the
most significant, "The Next Episode," his handle Outkast's "Ms. Jackson"
and Eminem's "Lose Yourself" received both crucial and commercial
honor.
In
addition to his popular remixes, San Holo's original songs have amassed a
good offer of success. "Light," a non-album track he released through
his indie label, bitbird, debuted at No. 38 on Signboard's Hot
Dance/Electronic Songs and peaked No. 13, investing an overall of 20
weeks on the charts.
